The great thing about his current condition is, well, he's stopped keeping track of truth and lies. He's only walking and talking and breathing because he defied 'truth' and 'reality' anyway, and so he simultaneously believes everything and nothing he says.

She squints at him, and Jeff has the decency to look a little uncomfortable and let out an uneasy laugh, because who would enjoy being scrutinized like that?
