Deirdre dresses in extravagant white coats, a small hat nestled between her horns and a fashionable walking cane in her hand. Her skin is ashen, but her eyes are a cloudy blue; they are, and remain, the most obviously human part of her. Odds are quite good that when she approaches as you're stepping off the ferry, the Marina's owner has a gold-threaded cloth mask over her mouth which doesn't quite filter the scent of smog and smoke from her breath, but even through the muffling of the mask her voice is rich and inviting:
"Welcome to Marrow Island, stranger. Can I assist you?"
