"Ylva is eager to help," Chris says to Mrs. Underhill, as an explanation, and follows Ylva out. Both of them probably hear the elderly lady chuckling before they close the door behind them.

Chris grins at Ylva and says, "That went well! On to the next house!"

There will be no scolding from Chris on etiquette. Lord knows that they've done things considered rude before, and probably will again. Besides, the important part -- the food delivery -- got done, so everything else is superfluous.
