Leon's a fast runner when he needs to be, but here and now he makes a point to pace himself, staying behind the other man to act as a buffer in case the astral figures manage to catch up. This means he gets a pretty good look at whatever he's doing with that stone, but Leon doesn't have much time to think about it before they're just about at the door.

Wrenching the door open with more force than is probably necessary, Leon all but shoves the man inside before following after, slamming it behind them and leaning heavily against it just in case.
