As much as he thinks it's obvious what he's going for, he guesses there's nothing saying he's not a trans woman just starting out on these things, like Lev guessed he might've been. In a way it is kind of nice to be asked - looking at it one way, it could mean whatever's going on in his pants didn't immediately become obvious once he brought it up. Or Chris is just very polite.
