Overview

Pumpkin Hollow and the world beyond it has only one major religion, which centers around a quartet of nature goddesses who each represent a season of the year and a realm of nature (Land, Sea, Sky, Beyond). Though different places and different cultures have their own unique interpretations of the goddesses, and there are some sects who venerate minor gods alongside the Four Mothers, these maternal deities are present across the entirety of the world due to their active presence in the world. In Pumpkin Hollow, there was radio silence from them for quite some time, but in recent months they have begun making appearances once more.

Conversely, the goddesses also have evil counterparts that the Temple avoids talking about--- the infernal Demon King and Princes. The royal family of demons changes its major players every few centuries through a succession ritual known for bringing misfortune to mortals, and it would seem that this ritual has begun in earnest in Pumpkin Hollow.
