Per plotting discussions on the matter, I present to you:
Name: Solemn Lament (Weapon)
Description: A pair of pistols, one white, one black, inscribed with butterflies. Though they appear to have all the proper parts of a gun, they neither use nor accept ammunition, and cannot be reloaded - the guns simply fire. Like Cobalt Scar, these weapons would be rated to fight quite advanced and powerful creatures in Jean's canon, as well as the City's absurd arms and armor.
Notes: The white pistol deals WHITE damage, attacking the mind; the black pistol deals BLACK damage, attacking both the body and the mind. Against things that don't have a meaningfully human sanity, WHITE damage is just damage, and will eventually kill them. Against humans or anything meaningfully close to them (see: most entities that could be a player character), WHITE damage will drain their sanity if they're currently in control of themselves, or restore their sanity if they are not in control. In Jean's canon, applications of WHITE damage can reverse possessions, charms, weird cordyceps-like effects, etc so forth. It probably still hurts like a bitch.
Like Cobalt Scar and all other E.G.O. equipment, Solemn Lament can cause E.G.O. corrosion and subjects the user to the voice of Funeral of the Dead Butterflies, whose entry is included here to provide ideas for what it wants and how it thinks. You may notice that the damage listed for Solemn Lament looks low; it's not, but explaining why would involve multiple paragraphs of deep cut game math so if you would REALLY like to know just hit me up on Discord and I will tell you entirely too much about how LobCorp calculates damage.
