This is also where you submit special purchase requests. Whenever you want to buy something not listed in the shops, such as a custom item that doesn’t have a specified price, you will need to make a purchase request to have a price issued to you. Special items that must be acquired through the Shady Merchant can be requested here and purchased here. You will also need to inform the bank when you upgrade your home or business, change jobs, or start a new business!

However, for non-upgrade items with predetermined prices such as your grocery budget, you can just add them to your ledger without making a formal request. This also includes items with previously determined prices as found in the buyer's guide.

And then items for the siege defense plan, including:

Barricades - Of the sharp and pointy variety, braced heavily at the bottom

Bolt-Throwers - One-man ballista on the roofs near the barricades, think in the vein of the old Roman scorpion design

Polearms - For the militia, halberds and hammers to break those starry bones

Jean will gladly take any funding or labor help they can get on those three items.

After some thinking, here's what we got!

Strap-On - 50B
Barricades - 200B each
Bolt-Throwers - 300B each
Polearms - 100B each

Town hall is willing to extend its financial assistance for half of the total price for as many as Jean needs! They are also welcome to start a fundraiser to mitigate some of these costs.

Well this is a bit of an issue as the NPC members of the militia are kinda an amorphous mass at this time

Oh fair! We're cooking on an idea of how much the Amorphous Mass of NPC Bodies could donate if prompted, but to help us sort things out: how many of each is Jean looking to get?

After some consideration, funneling the enemy down the paths Jean wants defended (so as to reduce casualties and property damage) is probably looking like Six Barricades and Four Bolt-Throwers and they REALLY want those numbers up, but what can one do?
